The BCC Ogmore Slalom Home page
The date for this year’s Ogmore Slalom event has been confirmed as 26-27 June.
This is a double event which means there are two days of competition which are entirely separate. So you could enter either or both days.
On each day there will be division 4 (aimed at complete beginners and those with a little experience in slalom) and division 3 (slightly higher level of opposition) competitions which are run on the same course. Within each division there are 5 classes:
Kayak Women (K1W)
Kayak Men (K1M)
Canadian Women (C1W)
Canadian Men (C1M)
Canadian Doubles (C2)
Promotion from division 4 is based on achieving a finish in the top fifth of your class. Thus if you enter both days, you could enter div 4 on Saturday, get promoted and then enter div 3 on Sunday.
